Create your first ETF
Choose assets, configure your share token, and launch a basket with real onchain backing.
Before you begin
Use a supported injected browser wallet and the correct Robinhood Chain network. You need ETH both for the backing budget and for network gas. Mainnet and testnet balances, addresses, and deployments are separate; test ETH cannot fund a mainnet launch.
The configured app must report that creation is ready. Mainnet users should use the existing configured deployment. The testnet walkthrough covers the separate local trial setup.
1. Choose 2–10 tokens
Open the creation flow and select at least two distinct tokens. Browse the token directory, use the stock-token picker where available, or paste a token contract address. Verify each token’s chain and address before adding it.
Every selected asset must have an executable route for ETH-funded creation. Being listed, having a familiar symbol, or passing a basic metadata lookup does not establish transfer compatibility or available liquidity.
Assign positive weights that total exactly 100%. These weights allocate the ETH spent at launch; they do not guarantee the same percentages of dollar value after execution. See choosing tokens for discovery and route checks.
2. Name the basket
Set the basket name and share-token symbol, then choose its image and description. The basket has a separate identity from its underlying assets. Similar names and symbols can exist, so the vault address remains its identifier.
The app stores signed metadata for the public basket page. This metadata signature is separate from the onchain transaction that creates and funds the vault.
3. Set the creator fee
Choose no creator fee or an issuance fee up to 1%, and review the recipient address. The selected rate and recipient are immutable in this vault version.
The fee applies when new shares are issued, including this launch. For example, 1.00 gross share at a 1% issuance fee sends 0.99 share to the receiver and 0.01 share to the fee recipient. If both addresses are your wallet, you receive both portions: 1.00 share in total. Both portions are backed by the same initial funding; one share is not a dollar peg.
See creator fees for rounding and the planned fee model.
4. Preview the ETH funding
Enter the ETH backing budget and keep enough ETH available for gas. Select Preview allocations and inspect every constituent’s spending allocation, estimated tokens, and minimum received amount.
Quotes expire after two minutes. Swapped legs have a 0.5% slippage margin and must pass the configured execution-impact checks. A direct WETH allocation is wrapped without a swap and uses the exact allocation as its minimum.
If a route is missing, change the token selection. If a route exists but the quote fails its size or impact bounds, adjust the budget or weights and request a fresh preview. Do not assume that increasing slippage will make an unsupported token safe to use.
5. Sign and launch
Review the basket configuration and displayed costs. Sign the metadata request, then inspect and confirm the wallet transaction. The native factory deploys the basket, acquires the constituents, and funds its initial shares atomically: all required steps succeed together or the transaction reverts.
The native ETH flow does not require separate constituent-token approvals. Network gas may still be spent on a reverted transaction.
After confirmation, keep the creation transaction and vault address. Open the basket page and check its actual backing, share supply, and your received shares. Discovery can lag until the event index catches up.
Optional: add a trading pool
When liquidity support is configured, the flow can also prepare a quote-side budget and an amount of your received shares for an ETF pool. This funding follows basket creation as a separate, reviewed transaction and can be resumed.
Creating the basket does not automatically mean a share-token pool is funded. Full-range liquidity positions belong to their selected receiver and are not locked. Read liquidity pools before providing liquidity.
After launch
The community vault’s tokens, declared weights, issuance fee, and recipient cannot be replaced by the creator. The basket can accept proportional deposits while open, and holders can redeem their own shares. Market movements change the value weights; the vault does not automatically rebalance them.
Continue with using your shares.
